It will be the culmination of two years of work all leading up to a grand finale on March 2 and 3 when over 100 quilts will be proudly shown off at St Mary’s Hall in Yoogali.
The quilts will be providing a bit of warmth and comfort to somebody who needs it - either a child with cancer through Country Hope or a soldier through Aussie Hero Quilts.
Knowing that it will make somebody feel safe and warm is what drives Murrumbidgee Country Quilters president Gaynor Clements.
"It’s an absolute frenzy at this time of the year to get it all finished, but it will all be worth it in the end," Ms Clements said.
For her quilting is also a way of getting together with a group of friends and spinning some yarns, both literally and figuratively.
The exhibition will cost $5 at the door to raise money for charities like Country Hope, and will include light food and drinks.
In the lead up to the exhibition the ladies' crochet hooks will be frantically clacking together to ensure it will be a spectacle to behold.
