According to Meat and Livestock Australia’s national livestock reporting service light lambs lifted $8 to make from $124 to $129/head.
Trade weights were $8 to $10 dearer, with prices from $128 to $166/head.
Heavy and extra heavyweight lambs lifted $9 to $15/head. Heavy lambs sold from $162 to $179, with extra heavies receiving from $164 to $225/head. Carcase prices averaged from 641c to 689c/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers eased and quality was very mixed.
Prices showed a dearer trend, with Merino ewes receiving from $110 to $122/head.
Crossbred ewes varied in price from $95 to $150, with Dorper ewes receiving from $94 to $126/head.
