After Coro won the toss and elected to bat it was the Panthers who were able to make the early impact with Fawad Shah (1/18) picking up the wicket of Rob Rand (7)
That was the last of the success for Leagues as Dean Bennett and Will Kennedy were able to put their heads down and work towards securing their side an imposing total.
The second-wicket pairing was able to add 117 before Leagues were able to make the breakthrough as Jackson Hasson (1/15) dismissed Kennedy (57).
Even after the Panthers dismissed Dean Bennett (68) the middle order pairing of Tim Rand and Jamie Bennett ensure the hard work from the top order wouldn’t go to waste.
After a 37-run partnership, Raj Singh (3/51) was able to pick up the wicket of Rand (22), and Jamie Bennett (22) before Liam Greenaway (2/38) chipped in with two quick wickets before the Cougars decided to declare sitting on 8/205 after 43 overs.
Needing to make a solid start Logan Matheson and Ryan Greenaway walked out to face the opening deliveries for the Panthers.
It was short lived as Matheson (6) was knocked over by Mitchell Williams-Hedges with the third ball of the innings.
Liam Greenaway joined Ryan, and the pair were able to put on 33 for the second wicket before Liam (23) was trapped in front by Williams-Hedges.
Ryan Greenaway and Jimmy Binks were able to get their side into a competitive position with a 72-run stand before Dean Bennett picked up Binks (33) while Williams-Hedges picked up his third of the day.
The fall of the third-wicket partnership spelled trouble for the Panthers as Bennett picked up the wickets of Reece Matheson, Ryan Moore and Raj Singh to see Leagues 5/4 in the course of four overs.
Connor Matheson (13*) tried to give his side a chance, but Williams-Hedges (4/45) picked up Shah (6) while Bennett (6/21) completed his haul with the wickets of Hasson (0) and Liam Warren (0) to see Leagues dismissed for 133 and handed Coro a 72-run victory.
