Kmart’s arrival has been shrouded in mystery and intrigue since they first announced their intent to set up shop last year, and the community has been kept waiting with baited breath for the opening date.
However the wait continues, with a spokeswoman stating no date has yet been confirmed.
Their statement to The Area News on Tuesday reads:
“We are excited to formally announce that Kmart Australia will be opening in Griffith mid-2019. We thank the community and look forward to opening our doors and celebrating our everyday low prices.”
She says the date, May 30, circulating on social media is incorrect.
