The RFS were called out to the scene of two more fires on February 8, adding yet more to the growing list of suspicious fires that have been breaking out since Christmas.

At 7am on Slopes Road a scrub and tree were set ablaze, and Hanwood RFS were called out to control the fires.
Within the space of 45 minutes, firefighters were able to control and extinguish the fires.

Volunteers would continue to be kept busy that day, as they were called to yet another fire at Mirrool Creek Road at 12.30pm on February 8.
Investigations are ongoing and so the fires have not yet been confirmed to be deliberate, but given the spate of suspicious fires breaking out across the region RFS are asking people with information to call Griffith police.
