Griffith City Council is aware levees have been constructed which may impact on properties during times of flooding.
In last week’s general council meeting a motion was put to council to approve $230,000 for the investigation and survey of properties to identify changes in the landscape since the 2012 floods.
The motion was lost, with the decision made in the meantime to hold the community forum before allocating money.
Council encourage residents, property owners and farmers to head to the meeting to be informed of the issues caused by levees along Mirrool Creek.
