Four passengers were jammed into the back seat while another three people were spilling into the front seat, including the driver.
Two of the passengers were not wearing seatbelts, since the car was only fitted with five.
When police pulled the car over they smelled alcohol on the driver’s breath, so they gave a roadside breath test which returned a positive reading.
The driver was arrested and returned a further reading of 0.151, so they were charged with high-range drink driving and had their licence suspended.
They will face Griffith Local Court.
