The de-mountables will be used as temporary classrooms at the school campuses until late 2020 as construction works get underway this year.
According to the Department of Education the de-mountables will all be air-conditioned, and paid for as part of the $25 million government grant given to MRHS for facilitating the merger.

“Stage one of the major upgrade will require the use of two de-mountables at Wade High Campus and one at Griffith High Campus, with a further three de-mountables being utilised throughout stage two of the project," a department spokesman said.
“It is common for de-mountables to be used as alternative accommodation during the delivery of major capital works projects such as this $25 million development of Murrumbidgee Regional High School or when emergencies arise, such as fires or natural disasters,” the spokesman said.
“A record $847 million is being spent on school maintenance over four years, along with a record $500 million for the sustainable cooler classrooms program to provide air conditioning to schools, this is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.”
