However not all has gone to plan, with the Thorne Road roundabout in Hanwood proving to be just as painful as it’s name suggests.

Hanwood Roundabout
AUGUST 6: 'Minor delay' in construction of Hanwood roundabout: Frustrated motorists could be waiting months for the Hanwood roundabout works to be complete.
The $1.6 million project at the intersection of the Kidman Way and Thorne Road began in April and was due to be ready in August.
However council has confirmed “a minor delay” has move that to October.
AUGUST 15: Hanwood roadworks set to resume, project extended: Motorists were left frustrated last week when the $1.6 million project was delayed until October, extending roadworks for another two months.
NOVEMBER 16: Roundabout at Kidman Way drives family around the bend:
Resident Kaitlyn Favero says her family have been driven around the bend by the nearby construction of the Hanwood roundabout.
Construction started in April, and now has expected completion date in January.
