Greg and Meagan Hilton’s light display at 41 Harward Road received the mayor’s choice award.
Their display isn’t just twinkling lights but includes a comical scene with Santa climbing down into the chimney.
“This is the second year we’ve registered for the Festival of Lights but we’ve been decorating our house for a while now,” Mr Hilton said.
“I really enjoy doing it. We’ve got two boys and they love it, it gets them excited for Christmas.”

Councillor Dal Broi said it was a difficult decision with around 60 stunning displays registered for the Festival of Lights this year.
“It wasn’t easy to pick the winner, but in the end the Hilton’s home with all of the lights and the different Santa’s really impressed me,” Cr Dal Broi said.
“It’s nice and bright and makes you smile, which is always a good thing. My granddaughters came with me and loved it.
“I want to congratulate everyone who took the time to brighten up our region with their displays. I was especially impressed to see the villages getting involved. Well done everyone and thank you for helping add some Christmas cheer.”
The people’s choice award went to Alex Nichols at 76 Ortella Street in Griffith, while Leaver Street Yenda has been crowned the Best Street for 2018.
The winners will receive Bunnings vouchers and plaques next year.
