Every year Amarjit Singh straightens out his long white beard, dons his big red Santa outfit and spreads a bit of Christmas cheer to Griffith.
It’s a long-standing ritual of his, and it’s his way of showing respect to the Christian tradition.
“I like Christianity very much,” Mr Singh said.
He’s a Sikh himself, but every Sunday he attends church to learn more about Christianity from Father Rob Harris.
Interfaith friendship is an integral part of the Sikh faith, and it’s one that Mr Singh puts into practice every week at church.
He’s been very impressed by what he’s heard so far, and he’s especially fond of this Jesus fellow everyone seems to be talking about.
“Christians say ‘love thy neighbour’,” Mr Singh said.
“The Christians of Griffith have shown great love to me.”
