The curtains will rise on December 14 at Griffith Regional Theatre at 7pm and Leeton Roxy Theatre on December 16 at 4pm.
Tickets can be bought online or at the door with a portion of the sales going to BeyondBlue and the Black Dog Institute, which deal with mental health problems such as depression.
It’s an issue that’s close to heart of dance teacher Kassia DiSalvatore, who has choreographed a mental health themed routine for the night.
Ms DiSalvatore has battled with mental health problems herself, but she has always found dance to be a good way to express herself and deal with suffering creatively.
Her students, being teenagers, have their own problems to deal with, but Ms DiSalvatore said they helped one another through the tough times.
“We’re our own little family and it’s an extra little support network for them,” she said.
When they dance together on Friday and Sunday they hope to hammer home the message that mental health matters, that it affects everybody, and that people should support one another through the dark days.
“We want people to know it’s Ok to feel that way, that they don’t have to go through it by themselves and they do have a support network available,” Ms DiSalvatore said.
“Even if we get through to just one person, it will all be worth it.”
Tickets can be bought at the Griffith Regional Theatre website or at the door.
