Santa himself will be riding on board a fire engine and helping to distribute lollies to the community.
RFS Captain Darrell Wallace said community outreach is very important in creating better cooperation between firefighters and the public during emergencies.
Captain Wallace said he greatly appreciates the assistance from Santa in helping Hanwood Brigade with their outreach.
“A lot of the time I think that people would only see a fire engine when we show up to their house in an emergency and it can be daunting and confronting,” Captain Wallace said.
“We’re trying to get out there and show them that we are regular people.”
