After winning the toss and electing to bat, Leeton found the going tough as wickets started to tumble.
After Jason Burke and captain, Matt Dedini were able to put on 19 runs for the first wicket before Burke (2) was dismissed by Mitchell Williams-Hedges.
Leeton went on to lose 5/15 as Nathan Lanham (0) was run out by Lucas Conlan while William-Hedges picked up Mathew Axtill (0) and Lachlan Hamilton (0) before Connor Bock (1/13) knocked over Maclean Crompton (0).
With the score on 5/35, Leeton was at risk of being bowled out for a well-below par score, but Jordan Camm joined Dedini at the crease, and the pair looked to get their side back on track.
The pair were able to put on 36 runs for the sixth wicket before Charlie Cunial stepped up to dismiss Camm (21).
Leeton found some late runs as Rhett MacGregor (11), and Michael Keech (10) alongside Dedini (31) helped see Leeton finish on 110 with Joel Mulder (2/0) taking two wickets in as many balls to bring their innings to a close.
After being a late call-up to the side due to unforeseen circumstances Will Kennedy and Dean Bennett went out to bat knowing there were only 40 minutes before lunch.
The pair faced out 12 overs and scored 58 runs to head into the break with all the ascendancy and when play resumed so did the run scoring.
After a 73-run stand for the opening stand, Josh Lanham was finally able to make the breakthrough Leeton needed as he picked up the wicket of Bennett (37).
Unfortunately for the Leeton side, the fall of Bennett did little to slow the momentum from Griffith as Jamie Winkler joined Kennedy at the crease.
Kennedy (57*) was able to post his half-century before Winkler (11) fell when he was caught and bowled by Hamilton (1/4).
Mulder came to the crease, and the game was decided when Hamilton bowled a waist-high full toss, giving Griffith the run they required to take an eight-wicket win.
