Mr Warren will be coming to Carrathool Shire Council from Coonamble Shire Council where he has been serving as GM for the last nine years.
Mr Warren said he is extremely pleased to be offered the opportunity to undertake the role within the community and has spent much of his working life in country areas by preference.
“From what I have seen the Carrathool Shire Council works well together which can only benefit the community and I hope that I can make a contribution to council that provides the necessary services across the shire” Mr Warren said.
Carrathool Mayor Peter Laird announced Mr Warren’s appointment at a special meeting of Council held at the end of November and said Mr Warren had been chosen from a strong field of 13 applicants.
“We are now looking forward to a period of stability and progress for Carrathool Shire Council,” Councillor Laid said.
