Griffith is gearing up for a color eruption starting Friday night as the first evening of Griffith City Council’s Festival of Lights is switched on.

Over 50 households have registered in the festival, and are now in the running for a place in the spotlight if they win the Mayor’s and People’s choice awards titles.
“Residents can enjoy boarding a bus or using our interactive map to see what houses are lit up,” mayor John Dal Broi said.
Council’s economic development director Shireen Donaldson said there was a big increase of homes participating this year, over 30 last year.
“Over the last two years council has provided buses to tour the lights and we are excited to once again provide this service every Friday night until Christmas," Mrs Donaldson said.

A small number of tickets are still available for the festival bus tour held on December 7.
No tickets are left for the bus tour to be held on December 14, whilst only 14 tickets remaining for the tour on December 21.
