According to Meat and Livestock Australia’s National Livestock Reporting Service trade weight new sesaon lambs dropped $10 to sell from $146 to $166/head.
Heavy and extra heavy weights received from $175 to $192/head.
Old lambs were $5 to $8/head cheaper.
Light lambs sold from $127 to $136/head.
Trade weight lambs received from $142 to $175, with the heavy weights selling from $174 to $210/head.
Carcase prices averaged 703c to 741c/kg.
Mutton numbers were made up of mostly Merinos and quality was mixed with both better finished and plainer mutton penned.
Prices dropped $5 to $10, with Merino ewes selling from $100 to $169/head.
Dorper ewes sold from $90 to $130 and crossbred ewes received from $100 to $138/head.
