Kenji Sato and Reuben Wylie started in October and over the last three weeks have been getting to know the Griffith and MIA community.
Mr Sato hails from Newcastle and has studied journalism at University of Technology Sydney.
It’s not his first time in the Riverina, having written for the Echuca’s Riverina Herald and Cobram Courier.
"I've only been here for three weeks, but the people of Griffith have already welcomed me with open arms,” Mr Sato said.
He describes himself as a fair dinkum Aussie who grew up swinging on Hills Hoists, burning himself on slippery dips, and talking Americans into eating vegemite.

Earlier this year Mr Wylie graduated from the University of Western Australia and spent six weeks at the Jakarta Post before getting his first full-time writing job in Mackay at The Daily Mercury.
“This is the my first year working full-time as a reporter and despite having lost an amount of sleep and hair to the rigors of the job I can honestly say that I can’t see myself wanting to do anything else,” Mr Wylie said.
“What I love most are the interviews. It’s always a touching and very rewarding feeling to find a sense of understanding from a total stranger as they entrust you with their story,” he said.
Editor of The Area News Declan Rurenga was thrilled to welcome the reporters to the city.
“They’re both very enthusiastic to learn about what makes Griffith tick and will be immersing themselves in the community,” Mr Rurenga said.
"Both Reuben and Kenji are keen to get out and find all the news that’s fit to print in Griffith.”
