The Coro Cougars kept up the pace with top of the table Hanwood after a healthy win over Leagues on Friday night in third grade.

The Cougars won the toss and elected to bat, and the opening partnership between Jack Hutchinson and Kyle Bennett before Patrick Payne (1/18) picked up the wicket of Hutchinson (10).
Bennett and Ben Signor didn’t let the early wicket affect them as they laid the foundation with an 86-run partnership before Bennett (33) was caught short of his ground by Nobeljit Singh.
Signor (101 retired) was the anchor of his side’s innings with Rhys Carnell (15) providing a contribution to see them finish on 5/191 off their 35 overs.
Fergus Shelton and Singh tried to get their side off to a decent start before they fell in quick succession to the bowling of Joseph Bellicanta (2/16).
Sam Payne and Michael Cudmore were the next pair to get a start and put on 49-runs for the third wicket before Hutchinson picked up the wicket of Cudmore (18).
The Payne brothers, Sam (50) and Patrick (12), put on 37 runs before Carnell (2/11) and Cooper Rand (1/16) which put the breaks on the Leagues innings. Ryan Minato (7*) and Noah Gaske (10*) saw out the final overs to finish on 6/143 to see Coro win by 48 runs.
Hanwood has maintained their undefeated start to the season after a successful trip to Coleambally to take on the Nomads.
While Coleambally made a tough start with Thomas Munn (3) falling to the bowling of Liam Gilbert (1/8) but James Clarke and James Buchanan were able to lead a fightback.
The pair put on 71 runs for the second wicket before Buchanan (36) fell to the bowling of Sam Robinson (2/9) while James Clarke (15) and Hannah Clark 0) followed closely behind.
Sam Toscan (26) added late runs to see the Nomads finish on 6/132.
Oliver Bartter (93*) was the mainstay of the innings as he led his side to victory with the only other contributions coming from Jordan Whitworth (9), Angus Bartter (11) and Robinson (9*) helping Hanwood take the six-wicket win with 13 overs to spare.
Sam Toscan (1/12) was the pick of the bowlers for Coleambally.
