Locals came with open arms to welcome the new arrivals who will be calling Griffith home.
The New Residents Welcome Reception took place on Wednesday at the Griffith Regional Theatre, where newcomers and oldcomers came together to show some love to their new neighbours.
The event was organised by Griffith City Council, and councillors were there in full force to greet the new residents and boast about the endless opportunities the town offers.
This was the first event of its kind, and it will be held annually.
Mayor John Dal Broi said people who are welcomed into Griffith had the habit of staying.
“A lot of people are initially hesitant to come all the way out here, but once they get here and start to work and interact with our community they love it,” he said.
