The women’s side was able to jump into the top spot on the ladder thanks to yet another nail-biting win this time over West Wyalong with a 49-46 victory. The result means that heading into the final round they will be in prime position to take out the top spot.
Their opposition for the final is still up in the air with the game between Leeton, and the Wildcats set to decide who will finish in the top-two with a four-point differential between the sides so Leeton will need to win by more than four if they want a finals berth.
In the men’s competition, Griffith should be safe in second position and look to take on West Wyalong in the grand final. The Demons fell 56-42 last weekend to the Wildcats but would have to suffer a significant loss to Narrandera and Leeton have to beat West Wyalong convincingly to change the table.
