Watching the changes in the industry over the past 30 years is something Leo Franco has enjoyed.
The major change he’s noticed has been the technology in vehicles.
“All the computerisation and electrics have changed the cars more than ever,” Mr Franco said.
“Modern safety features – braking, airbags, stability control – has made cars by far and away safer than 30 years ago.
“The technology to make them better is outstanding.”
Sales manager Andrew Ross agrees that technology has been one of the biggest changes since he started working in the industry 16 years ago.

The evolution of cars has changed with the quality of drive and technology in the carsLeo Franco Motors sales manager Andrew Ross
“The new commodore will even keep you between the lines while driving,” he said.
“It has all the mod-cons like heated seats, blind spot monitors and safety features.
“Technology has come a long way in cars like the development of autonomous drive.”
However, he also noticed that certain changes that were pegged to be the “next big thing” have never eventuated.
“We’re all meant to be driving electric cars by now or that was the concept when I first started,” Mr Ross said.
“Then they were going to phase out petrol and everything was going to be diesel but now it looks like things are going back to petrol.”
