The two vehicles were driving in opposite directions on Kidman Way in Tharbogang when the west-bound ute crossed over the centre line on the road.
The ute was carrying a 23 year-old male passenger and a 24 year-old male driver, who attempted to swerve when he realised a crash was imminent.
The ute was unable to avoid crashing into the east-bound car, which was driven by a 42 year-old woman.
Witnesses who saw the collision called triple-O, and the three were treated by ambulance at the scene and then taken to Griffith Base Hospital.
The two men were shortly released with only minor injuries, but the woman has been asked to return for a follow-up checkup for a suspected bone fracture.
Polices have spoken with all three parties, and they said investigations are continuing.
