Coro won the toss and elected to bat, and with Brett Crooks and Ben Taylor, the Cougars were able to put on 17 for the first wicket before Taylor fell to the bowling of Damien Browning (1/32).
Crooks (39) led the way for the Cougars as they struggled to deal with the bowling of Neil Casey (4/24) with only John Witherspoon (11) and Josh Smith (17) scoring double digits to see the Coro side finish on 129 after 33.1 overs.
It was a shaky start to Diggers reply as they lost Brett Green (8) and Brian Corner (2) to the bowling of Nick Witherspoon (3/22) before Jack Favell and Mick Duncan rebuilt the innings.
Duncan (35) would be the anchor for the Diggers innings with contributions from Favell (12), Browning (12) and Matthew Butcher (26) but once Browning fell Diggers hit trouble.
They lost 5/20 and needed to score 11 runs with one wicket remaining and with time running out Greg Collins (0) was run out by Smith with the scores level to see the points split.
Leagues suffered their first loss of the second-grade season after a convincing performance from Exies.
Shane Makea (40), Teei Piawi (32), Taimoor Akbar (21*) and Kierren Williams (19) did the scoring for the Panthers, but tight bowling from Adam Waide (3/19) and Rodney Bordin (2/7) helped restrict Leagues to 9/146 off their 40 overs.
Dan Brady (39) ensured his side made a strong start while contributions from J Power (31), Lyle Campbell (27) and Waide (12) to see Exies pass the Panthers total with five wickets in 32.2 overs.
In the final game, Hanwood was able to pick up their first win of the season after defeating Coleambally.
It was a tough start for the Nomads before Kurt Wielderaayer (20) and Sam Casey (28) along with late runs from Shaun Iddles (40) seeing the Nomads bowled out for 120 with Hanwood’s Shannon Caughey (3/35) and Luke Catanzariti (3/30) doing most of the damage.
Hanwood picked up a five-wicket win thanks to Leon Tiere (39*), Neil Geltch (21) and Charlie Simpson (28) doing most of the run scoring.
