Griffith’s Shed for Men celebrated Grandparent’s Day on Sunday with wood working, face painting, balloon making all alongside family.

The Niven family was well represented with four generations in attendance, and they were joined by Lance Brace and wife Joan who brought along some of their many descendants, including six of 12 great-grandchildren.
Lance said it was great to celebrate the day with his family around him, coming from Griffith, Leeton and Whitton.
“Having them all here makes it a great day,” Lance said.
Joan agreed, saying spending time with the kids made her “feel younger.”
“You can sit back and enjoy all of their energy, and look at how far you’ve come,” she said.
Paige Ryan said she loves it when Pop made things for her and her sisters.
“He made us a tennis game that I play all the time. He also takes us out fishing and sometimes he puts the worm on my hook.”

Her sentiment was echoed by Grand-daughter Jessica Looby, who said celebrating the things grandparents do was a great way to thank them for everything.
“We celebrate mothers and fathers day, so it’s great to do the same for grandparents too,” she said.
