The business recently made the move to 20-22 Yambil Street, located between Mackay’s Furniture and Area Builders, after it outgrew its previous home in the Centrepoint building at 139 Yambil Street.

Ray White Griffith principals, husband-and-wife team Rodney and Melissa Zuccato, said potential for the move had been on the cards for a while.

“We were thinking we might need to move at some stage,” Rodney said. “The opportunity came up, so it was sooner rather than later.

“We have done nothing to the outside, just new signage. It’s on the southern side of the street, which is better. Plus it is closer and more central, providing more exposure.

“It’s a new lease of life for everyone.”

The move was prompted by space - the business had simply outgrown its original location due to staff expansion over the years.

The proposed Yambil Street upgrade is also an exciting reason to remain in the street, with council keeping those affected well informed. For Ray White Griffith, it will be business as usual.

It took seven months to complete a full fit-out of the building.

Features include a reception area, boardroom, six offices and eight workstations, revamped amenities and kitchen, and a complete re-wire, including full networking.

Melissa said the renovation would rival what you would expect to see on The Block.

“Ray White, as a whole nationally, when they re-brand they encourage offices to take that on,” she said.

“They don’t expect everyone to do it, but because we started from scratch the creative marketing team provided us with a guide.

“At the moment they are very into that homey feel, not the sterile office look. People will feel relaxed when they come into the premises.

“With the style guide there are Sydney places to shop, but I did everything locally. Ray White encouraged this.

“Griffith just has so much to offer; there was no need to go anywhere else.”

Melissa praised the “beautiful, long-term staff” for their efforts surrounding the move.

“The move was extremely smooth,” she said. “Everyone looked after their own workstation and packed themselves up. We basically put it in the back of the car and just moved down here. There was a lot of planning and co-ordinating with things like the NBN and Telstra.”

Rodney agreed that technology was a major focus for the move.

“Our IT, we basically shut down in one place and and opened up with it running,” he said. “That was our biggest concern, (but) we switched off on a Friday and restarted on a Monday.”

With the sheer number of contract workers and an agricultural sector that is booming, real estate to buy or rent can be scarce.

“There has been a bit of a lag for available blocks for building, but they are coming on now, or in the near future,” he said.

“There is a lot of contract work done in the area and for general growth, there’s people coming here for work.

“In general, there’s just extra people coming and looking for somewhere to live.

“That is also reflected in values, where we’ve hit a peak in residential and rural.

“There is just a lot of interest from out of the area.”
