Many businesses and events are continuing Pink Up Griffith throughout the month of October, with a few adjustments being made.
Griffith Regional Theatre will be having a Pink Up event on Saturday, as the Pump Up for Pink event held at the Exies Club on Saturday had to be cancelled.
Manager of the Griffith Regional Theatre Raina Savage was proud to support the Pink Up Griffith, and were happy to step in pinking up with their ‘Bush Baliando’ night.
“We hadn't planned it up as a pink up event because we didn’t want to compete and it was unfortunate they had to cancel, so we thought we’d work together and make it a pink up event,” Ms Savage said.
“It's good for us, but it’s joining in and going to a good cause without overloading it. We hope that those people who were looking forward to the Pump Up for Pink event can come as still support the cause.”
A portion of each ticket sold to the event will be donated to the McGrath Foundation, with tickets available from the box office.
Friday October 19, The Area Hotel will be holding a Pink Up Griffith Trivia Night Fundraiser.
The night will be $25 per person, which will include a small pizza and free soft drink, with $10 donated to the fundraiser.
There will be pink bubbles on arrival with raffles running all night. Bookings are essential due to limited seating, with a maximum of six people per team.
In what is set to be the finale of the Pink Up events, the Pink Run has been confirmed, with the Dee Vine Estate Fun Walk being held on Sunday October 28 at 4pm down at Exies Main Oval.
Registration will be $5 entry for five laps, followed by live music on the Terrace and a special local chef to provide the food.
Fun-runners are encouraged to dress with a touch of Pink to celebrate the culmination of Pink Up Griffith in October.
Tony Santolin, part of the team from Griffith Real Estate kicking the Pink Up month along, says the support from the community has once again been tremendous, and thanks the dedicated work of the committee for all of the energy they put in.

“Especially to Sarah Davis and Jessica Zandona who have maintained that energy right through, and now we are over the top of that giant mountain we can enjoy the slide down with the exciting events coming up,” Mr Santolin said.
“At the end of the day a lot of work has been going in and there has been a lot happening, but Griffith has always be ready to support this and get behind, and this year is the same.”
