Pavese has been appointed head coach of the Tigers.
He will remain as the club’s full-time general manager, a position he took up 12 months ago.
“Although his workload with the club has now doubled (holding down the General Managers position and the Senior Grade Coaching position), the club is confident he can handle the situation given his enormous contribution over the past twelve months as general manager,” the club said in a statement on their website.
Pavese returned home to coach Griffith for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Only last month he returned back to the area and supported the Swans’ bench in the grand final loss to Collingullie-Glenfield Park.
He has also been an assistant coach of Greater Western Sydney’s (GWS) AFL Women’s team.
Leeton-Whitton premiership player Toby Conroy has been appointed assistant coach under Pavese.
