The show stars Kenneth Ransom as Caesar and will be directed by James Evans.
Mr Evans said Julius Caesar was Shakespeare’s political thriller.
“It’s a masterpiece of intrigue and treachery,” Mr Evans said.
“Shakespeare explores what happens when fear infects a society, and I think everyone can relate to that. It deals with issues that are urgently contemporary.
“It’s also just a cracking great story, full of action and some of the most incredible language Shakespeare ever wrote. It will be a really exciting night in the theatre.”
The Julius Caesar cast includes Kenneth Ransom, Jemwel Danao, Ivan Donato, Maryanne Fonceca, Ghenoa Gela, Neveen Hanna, Emily Havea, Nick Simpson-Deeks, Russell Smith and Sara Zwangobani.
Theatre manager Raina Savage said people could expect a modern take on the classic play.
“Julius Caesar is unlike any other play written by William Shakespeare,” Ms Savage said.
“It is his most overt exploration of politics and power.
“The language of the play is direct and explosive: mob violence erupts, relationships fracture, and the republic crumbles, all through the power of the spoken word.”
The show is set for 7.30pm on Saturday, September 29, with tickets available from the Griffith City Theatre.
