Library Assistant Sharmaine Delgado read three stories all about fathers in celebration of the special day.
The first, Daddies Are Great by Meredith Costain and illustrated by Polona Lovšin uses rhyme and pictures of doggie babies and dads to show how amazing fathers can be.
RELATED:
Just Like My Daddy by David Melling, a humorous tale, celebrates all kinds of dads – even if they are lazy!
Finally, Ms Delgado read My Dad is a Giraffe by Stephen Michael King, a book which explores appreciating dad for who they are or what they look like.
In the craft session following, children got to paint their own ‘dad’ signs – with attached magnets – to stick on the fridge and to declare proudly their love for their dad.
Griffith City Library holds a Storytime session each Friday at 11am.
