The ‘Xtreem’ skate party and street style music festival is presented by Griffith Regional Theatre and Griffith City Council in conjunction with MY FEST and will see the city become a beacon for skaters, dancers, thrill artists and seekers from September 11 until September 15 when the main event will take centre stage.
Melbourne-based rapper Joelistics, who will headline a street party near the skate park on the day, will be conducting a workshop for youths.
Branch Nebula, who will be ‘in residence’ at the skate park from Tuesday September 11, will be entertaining the crowds with BMX riders, parkour artists, skaters, and dancers at the main event, from 1pm.

Local musicians Ivy & Elle’s, the Lolohea Brothers, and Ev3 will kick off the event from 2pm.
And, to wrap up the festivities, Joelistics, with accompanying artist Birdz, will take the stage at 5pm.
Youth committee member Aduny Takele welcomes skaters to get involved in the event.
“Local skaters of all ages are invited to get involved,” Ms Takele said.
“They can join Branch Nebula in the park from 3pm to 6pm each day, and if they want to be part of the grand finale, they just need to hit the skate park from 11am on Saturday to be included in the afternoon’s performance.”
“Joelistics will be running a hip hop workshop at PCYC at 11am for any young people wanting to hone their skills with a mic – and get some hot tips for their song writing.”
Griffith City Council Events Coordinator Karly Sivewright said it was “so much fun” working on putting the project together.
“It’s fun, it’s a free event, it’s suitable for anyone of any age – you can go hard or sit back and chill with your friends,” Ms Sivewright said.
“We hope all young people in Griffith will get down there and celebrate this great new youth project.”
Griffith is set to come to life with the skate and street festival on Saturday September 15, with the main event running from 1pm until 6pm at Griffith CBD’S new Skate Park.
MY SKATE is a free event for Griffithites.
