Griffith City Library celebrated the treasure-focused theme, and featured treasure, necklaces, and pirates during their Storytime session.
With the aid of Hayden, Ms Crosato read out three tales, The Great Rabbit Chase by Freya Blackwood, Boy by Phil Cummings and illustrated by Shane Devries, and finally I’m Australian Too by Mem Fox.
RELATED:
The Great Rabbit Chase is about little bunny Gumboots who has a cheeky side, and creates mischief; frequently escaping from his family.
Boy is about a deaf child who uses ‘dancing hands’ to ask a warring king and dragon why they fight, and teaches them to live in peace.
And, I’m Australian Too is about people from across the globe who call Australia their home.
A craft session followed the readings, where children got to make their own necklaces from dyed penne pasta, and string.
