The Wagga Business Chamber will host the session with Stephen Cartwright, CEO of NSW Business Chamber, at Romano’s Hotel on August 27.
The free event, which will run from 5pm to 6.30pm, will allow attendees to gain insights into the NSWBC policy priorities in keeping the NSW economy the top-performing state or territory across the nation.
Danielle Pascoe, president of the Wagga Business Chamber, said it was a chance to discuss business with one of the most influential figures in the Australian business community.
“The key issues to be discussed are maintaining infrastructure spending, reducing red tape and improving the education system to produce more potential employees in areas where shortages exist,” Ms Pascoe said.
“We encourage local businesses to attend to take advantage of this unique opportunity to have their say so that these issues can be presented to political decision makers.”

Mr Cartwright will also address local businesses and discuss how the next six months will be key in shaping the future of NSW.
“Following a decade of growth, NSW is once again Australia’s leading economy and the only state economy worth more than half a trillion dollars,” Mr Cartwright said.
“NSW now has the best performing economy in Australia, but if we are to stay number one, this is not the time to take our economic success for granted or to become complacent.
“There are still a number of challenges and opportunities yet to be addressed and we need to tackle these to realise the full potential of our state.”
Mr Cartwright cited small-to-medium businesses as being crucial for the economic prosperity of NSW.
“The next NSW Government must continue to provide the economic and regulatory leadership to encourage investment and support the growth of business,” he said.
“It is vital that our political leaders and the broader community fully appreciate the contribution that business makes to our society and how a stronger economy helps build our schools, hospitals and roads, as well as providing training for our young people and delivering important social services.”
Drinks and light refreshments will be served at the event.
