Georgette De Paoli and Tash Nancarrow, both 18 years of age, are passionate dancers and this opportunity to study the Pre-Professional Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) will give them the chance to pursue their dream careers in dance.
“Transit Dance was the first academy we auditioned for, so we thought we’d give it a try - it was a bit of a stab in the dark,” Tash said.
“We were really surprised when we both got in, but it’s so exciting!” Georgette said.

Transit Dance, based in Melbourne, said this year’s competition for admission was particularly rigorous, and were impressed with the girls auditions and believed strongly in their potential for continued success.
Both Tash and Georgette have been dancing from a young age, and have their hearts set on making a career out of their passion – and are prepared to continue putting the hard yards in.

“I’m also excited to learn how to teach dance as well, because it’s a great fall-back way to make money while studying,” Tash said.
Dance teacher Shannon is super proud of the girls, who are the first of her students to “fly the nest.”
“They have worked so hard, it’s sad to see them go, but it’s great to see them step out into the next level and spread their wings and take this opportunity,” she said.
