The Greens now leapfrog the Mallee Men into sixth and are just two points outside the top five and have the bye next weekend while West Wyalong will look to keep their finals chances alive when they take on the Panthers.
Meanwhile the trip to Hay to take on the Magpies was a tough one for Yanco Wamoon who were able to come away with a 38-28 win on Sunday afternoon.
It looked like the Magpies would be able to come away with the second win of the season when they were level with the Hawks before they scored the 10 points require to come away with the victory.
With the other results from the weekend, it means Yanco are now within touching distance of the third place and a second chance which seemed unlikely in the early stages of the season.
An undefeated run of five games has seen them close the gap to just a single point to Tullibigeal Lake Cargelligo, but the Hawks will face a tough run in.
They will face Yenda, Leeton, TLU and DPC in the final four rounds which will test their finals credentials so the points picked up could prove crucial.
