It was a great weekend at the Country Championships for the Griffith Swim Club athletes with a combined total of 21 personal bests and 11 top 10 finalists.

Wil Donaldson had a great day out in the pool capped off with a gold medal in the 100m butterfly in the 13 years men’s. He also picked a silver in the 100m backstroke and a bronze in the 100m breaststroke with three personal bests.
In the 13-14s men’s group, he was able to pick up top ten finishes in the 200m breaststroke, 200m backstroke and 200m individual medley with three personal bests.
Zaine Della Franca had a good day in the pool in the men’s 14 years group with his best performance coming in the 100m butterfly when he picked up a fourth while he finished top ten in the 50m freestyle, 100m backstroke, 100m breaststroke and 100m freestyle while setting three personal bests along the way.
Samantha Taylor was strong across age groups picking up ninth in the 100m breaststroke in the 13 years women’s while coming 10th in the 200m breaststroke in the 13-14 years women’s division while setting seven personal bests.
Charlie Wallace-Chapman picked up a ninth in the 100m backstroke while setting four personal bests in the men’s 12 years division while at her first Country Championships she was able to set a new personal best in the women’s 12 years division.
