It’s been hard going for Leeton in recent weeks with many of their senior players out and some of the club’s younger brigade having to step up.
The Greens form has been up and down in recent weeks, with coach Clinton Green labelling this weekend’s match as a “must-win”.
“It’s not that we’ve been playing bad … we’ve just had so many blokes coming in and out of the team,” he said.
“So every week the side is trying to play with different players.
“I’d say every week now we have six or seven players from 18s coming up. They are doing really well.
“We’re just finding it hard to gel I think.”
West Wyalong a two points ahead of the Greens on the ladder in sixth position, a win would see Leeton level with them.
“Yanco have probably sewn up fourth now, so it’s really between us, West Wyalong and the Black and Whites as to who will finish fifth,” Green said.
“I’m confident on our good day we can beat anyone.

“The competition is so close.”
The Greens should welcome back Wilson Feagai and Todd Prest for Sunday’s clash at No. 1 Oval.
“Hopefully we can have a good game and get the points,” Green said.
“As I said we need to win if we’re any chance. We beat them last time, we just need to do it again. It’s just about playing well for the whole match. Not just some of it.”
