The Panthers got away to an early start, scoring the first try of the afternoon to have Leeton on the back foot.
However, Leeton soon hit back through Bailey Wallace and from there the match was neck-and-neck for the majority of the match, but it was the Greens who came out triumphant with a 24-22 victory.
The win was a much-needed one for the Greens, who were coming off a string of losses to the Waratah Tigers, TLU and Yanco-Wamoon.

Also contributing to the final scoreline was coach Clinton Green and Jason Fletcher with one each, while Jordan Demarzo scored a double.
Green also successfully converted two of the tries, which proved crucial on the scoreboard at the end of the day.
The team’s young brigade also stood up and responded to the pressure when it counted on Sunday.
This weekend the Greens will travel to take on Darlington Point Coleambally, in what will be another must-win game.
