Teacher and Year 6 team manager Andrew Noad said the boys were training twice a week to scrub up on technique.
”They played tremendously well, we don’t have a lot of really tall players, and what they lacked in height they made up in effort and speed around the ground,” Noad said.
While there were many highlights, he says their desire to win the ball on the day was amazing.
“They never gave up. When they were put up against bigger bodies they weren’t shy and weren’t afraid.”

With their own “super-coach” Matthew Kenny, the team has been training twice a week for the last month or more.
“Playing teams from Wagga, Deniliquin, Albury, coming from the heartland of AFL in the Riverina, the opposition being very strong on the day.”
“We are proud of the time and effort the boys are putting in, and the rewards will come with time. We hope they persist because they will be good footballers in time.”
