A strong showing this season has seen the Griffith side retain an undefeated position at the top of the Riverina League ladder.
Swans coach Will Griggs said his side goes into each week anticipating a good contest.
“We’ll be aiming for another win,” he said.
“I know they’re toward the bottom half of the ladder but when they play at home they’re a different team – as many teams are at this point in the year,” he said.
The senior side, he says, have set themselves up well going into the second half of the season.

“I think we’ve been travelling very well. We’ve had more away games than we have home games, which puts us in good stead for the second half of the season. We could have a good run home,” he said.
“Our decision making coming out of the back line and moving into the forward line has improved. Our young ruckman is getting better with every game. It’s good to see that improvement coming from the squad.”
The Swans are fresh off a 38 – 15 win against Mangoplah and will head into the weekend looking to give some of their younger players a chance to shine in the top grade.
“We haven’t really had our best team play together.
We’ve got some new blood coming in. Jack Rowston will be playing his first game of the year this week,” he said.
“Young Dean Bennett will be making his first grade debut after a good season in the under 17’s,” he said.
Griggs agreed it was good to see the mixture of experience and youth coming through the side.
“We’ve always said we’re want to develop young kids and we’re lucky enough to be in a position where we can rest a few of our more experienced players this week.”
Griffith Swans will take on the Wagga Tigers this Saturday at Robertson Oval, kicking off at 2:10pm.
