The $5000 was awarded by Aussie Cotton Farmers Grow Communities Program in association with the Monsanto Fund, as well as being in partnership with Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
A specially designed saddle for wheelchair bound riders and reins shall be purchased with the grant funds.
President for local RDA Julie Groat said the funds will provide items which are desperately needed for the students.
“These funds will provide items which are expensive, but required.”
Representatives from Aussie Cotton Growers, Monsanto and Patrick and Hayley Sergi, who nominated RDA, attended a presentation at Dalton Park facility Griffith, with RDA committee and volunteers.
RDA is a not for profit organisation, and is always seeking sponsors, volunteers or donations to help run the program for Disabled children in the MIA community.
