PJ Lale is 13 years old and will be playing Pugsley Addams, a lovely young boy with a dark personality.
“For me to put myself in this person's body is an absolute theatrical miracle,” PJ Lale said.
The challenge for PJ is finding that humour in life and bringing it to the character.
PJ has been singing for some time but has not had any experience in theatre.
He takes inspiration from Julie Andrews, who has been his role model since the age of five.
He loves her voice, the way she acts and how she treats people with kindness.
PJ also finds inspiration in his teacher Miss Suidgeest, as she encourages him to be himself and to always smile.
Idols include Jessica Lang, Julie Andrews, Angelica Huston, Whoopi Goldberg, Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Ioane Saula is 16 years old and will be playing Gomez Addams.
What is the favourite part of your character? I love a bit of a laugh and I think Gomez is mostly about making people laugh. He also shows a lot of pride for himself and his family, something I like and admire about him.
What do you find the most challenging part of character? Gomez is spanish, so the names that I have to say are quite difficult to pronounce at times.
What previous experience do you have? I have been studying drama as an electives for 2 years and I also performed in the Festival of the Word.
Who are your favourite actors/actresses? My favourite actors are Beulah Koale, KJ Apa and Nathaniel Lees.
Shows kick off on June 27, tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from Griffith Regional Theatre.
