Coach Jason Bertacco was pleased with how his side approached the game.
“They worked really hard to maintain possession of the ball which was pleasing,” he said.
“They opened us up on a couple of occasions so to keep the clean sheet was also pleasing.
“The best part about playing the Hanwood Two side is the banter on the field. There is a friendly rivalry and we all respect each other.”
A double to Adam Close and one each to Jacob Zanatta and Michael Cimador proved to be the difference as Hanwood Blue work to maintain touching distance with Yoogali SC.
Both sides were also able to get though the game injury free so will be at full strength for the upcoming games.
The Blues will take on West Griffith while Hanwood White will take on Yoogali FC One with both games out at Hanwood Oval.
