Dee Barnby and Sheree Richardson completed the Adelaide Classic Bodybuilding Competition, both coming away with impressive placings for their time competing.
Ms Barnby, now in her second year of competitions, came away with third place in the bikini over 30’s Division, fourth place in the in the Sports Model Division and the Swimsuit Division, and fifth in the Bikini Mommas Division.
Ms Richardson who is new to the bodybuilding circuit, came away with fourth place in the Bikini over 30’s division in her second Title.
Check out some footage of the competition below:
“It was the biggest show we have competed in this season with so many competitors and judges but we enjoyed every minute of it,” Ms Barnby said.
After just returning from a holiday in Perth for some much-needed timeout after competing in three titles already this season, Ms Barnby says it’s now crunch time.
“Now its time to get focused again and start training a bit more seriously as Jason [trainer Jason Grogan] and I will be going to Phuket on June 23 to compete in the Southern Universe – The last big show of the season.”
Despite the fact this show was bigger than any she had been in before, Ms Richardson says she felt confident leading up to the Adelaide Titles.
“I felt really confident leading up to Adelaide, though I was worried it would be a lot harder to place being a bigger show,” Ms Richardson said.
“I was so happy when I placed fourth, extremely excited to do another competition.”
Ms Richardson is planning on competing in more competition next season, and will maintain her focus to gain muscle and get stronger than ever.
The pair competed in the Clash at the Coast at Batemans Bay in April, which saw Ms Barnby come away second in the Bikini Mommas and Ms Richardson coming an excruciatingly close fourth.
Ms Barnby competed in bodybuilding competitions last year, placing in state and national competitions for body building, and topped off an outstanding 2017 by coming third in the Ms Bikini Mommas section at the Natlympia I Compete Natural (ICN) World Titles in Bali.
