The Hanwood side picked up a 7-1 win to open their account for the season with four goals to Jacob Melvin and three goals to Conor Edenden proving to make the difference.
The West Griffith side was due to play in the second round of the State Cup with a trip to Sydney to take on Engadine Eagles but have made the tough decision to forfeit.
The Wests side was able to show conviction in their last game against Yoogali FC One as they were able to come from a goal down twice to come away with a 2-2 draw.
A win for either side could prove vital when it comes to the later parts of the season when the sides are fighting for the final place in the top four come finals time.
The game will get underway at 1pm at Coro Club Oval.
