The Rossies return and earn kiosk has recently accquired a ‘donate’ button, with four charities coming on board.
Griffith Carevan is the only local charity on the board.
Community House’s Barbara Penninga says it’s a good opportunity for Griffith’s residents to give back.
“If people are feeling generous they can press the donation button and choose us as a community centre,” she said.
All of the money goes directly toward stocking Carevan’s emergency food pantry, supporting residents in need.
“Every 10 cents goes toward the purchase of food,” she said.
“It’s good to be able to keep the money in town. Lots of people are doing it tough, more than what people realise. Giving to a local organisation directly benefits members of the community.”

The machines have proven to be a smash hit since their introduction at the beginning of the year.
Up until mid-March, Griffith residents made $46,215 from the Foodworks machine, installed in early January; and $13,042 from the Woolworths machine, installed a couple of weeks later.
