The Cut for Cancer campaign will be donating the funds to The Australian Cancer Research Foundation.
The Australian Cancer Research Foundation has been active since 1984 and looks to expose cures for ruthless cancers.
Friends, family, and the Marian Catholic College community all worked together to raise the impressive sum.

Louisa Patten, Year 12 Coordinator for Marian Catholic College, commented on the event.
“The Foundation was part of one of the Year 12’s chosen charities and is a worthy charity to support,” Ms Patten said.
“The lunch time activity consisted of a student raffle with the winners cutting off a section of hair, as well as an auction to bid on who shaves the heads of the two volunteers.”
Kara Howard La Perla Salon Griffith was on hand to perform the cutting for the two lads, who ended up with shaved heads for the cause.
“This was a successful fundraiser for Year 12 which shows the true community spirit within Griffith.”
