When you come from regional areas leaving home can be a daunting home to move to the city, to be dumped in the pool of life and to be financially independent. It can be a big expense,” she said.
“The foundation is a way of relieving some of the burden upon family. It helps kids to realise there is someone else out there who believes them and wants them to achieve.”
The event also showcases Griffith talent with The Luxxtones and Lillie Duxbury set to perform.
“Curry and Jam is a night where we have a local band and a local artist who perform music. They provide the jam. Curry is made by some of our local families. They donate some of their time,” he said.
Curry and Jam is taking place at Binya Hall on Friday, April 20. Tickets are on sale now at Fred Cole Retravision.
Tickets are $40 entry and dinner or $50 if you want to catch the bus.
