Riverina’s under 18 team defeated Greater Northern Tigers 38-32 in an entertaining semi-final at Dubbo on Saturday.
The Bulls scored the last two tries of the day, courtesy of Austin McDougall and Ziggie Vincent, to score a thrilling come-from-behind win.
Vincent and Sam Heffernan both crossed for doubles in the win.
Riverina will now take on the undefeated Newcastle Knights Development Squad in the final at Glen Willow Regional Sports Complex at Mudgee this Saturday at 1.30pm.
The Knights shape as formidable opponents after smashing Monaro Colts 58-6 in the other semi-final.
They have conceded just 30 points on the way to the final.
The Laurie Daley Cup final will be the final event on a big day at Mudgee that will also feature the final of the Andrew Johns Cup for under 16s, plus a CRL women’s trial game between Northern and Southern.
Western Rams will play Illawarra South Coast in the final of the Andrew Johns Cup.
