Perhaps a frame of thought or alternative argument all of a sudden resonating when before, it was only a passing thought barely worth considering.
And quite often, its totally unexpected.
It was certainly the case when The Area News was lucky enough to met best friends and self-proclaimed ‘soulmates’ Edeth Morris and Shirley Jennings recently.
Edeth and Shirley’s relationship is built on the back of good banter, and they both agree they’ve grown reliant on each other’s sharp minds, as life moves on and loved ones disperse.
But the pair continue to exercise their still razor-sharp wit, easily maintaining their most treasured aspect of their relationship.
The pair have lived full and fruitful lives, and are at peace with where they stand today and into the future.
For them, the future holds no fears, and the present, despite providing new challenges, is something they both relish.

Possessions, money, health – they’re all worthless unless they can be shared with someone you love.

It’s a lesson everyone should consider incorporate into their mantra.
And if family and friends mean more than anything already, why not express it to your dearest loved ones.
While the story may not be anything groundbreaking for The Area News in regards to popularity and content, it perhaps provides a fantastic example of the types of yarns making our community different.
The media industry is moving further and further away from the benefits of subtly, instead opting to go bigger, louder and better in an effort to maintain its audience.
